Our next benefit will be held at Sunday, September 12 at The Junkyard (13 SE 12 St., off of Waldo Rd).  We hope you can join us in supporting local music and community radio.

Confirmed bands include Ex-Boogeyman, Post Teens, Partial People and Teenage Softies. This will be a 4-way split cassette release.

WGOT will be holding a staff and informational meeting on Sunday July 11, 2010 at the Civic Media Center, 433 S. Main St. The meeting will be held at 6 PM.

The agenda will include information for current staff as well as information for others interested in getting involved with WGOT community radio, especially for those who would like to develop and produce programming for the station. For more information prior to the event contact info@wgot.org.

Join us at our next benefit concert and support local community radio.  The event will be held at Wayward Council, 807 W. University Avenue on Saturday June 5, 2010.  Local bands Nervous Dogs, Tubers, and Worry Ship will be performing.  Music will start at 10 PM.

Earlier that day from 12-4 PM, WGOT will be tabling at the anniversary celebration for Indigo Green Building Solutions located at 322 SW 4th Ave.  Come out and revel in the awesomeness that is the Gainesville community.

WGOT is happy to announce our next benefit concert, along with the Wagstaff family & their non-profit organization Studio Percussion. 

WGOT will be holding a benefit to celebrate the airing of Extreme Makeover Home Edition which will feature the Wagstaff family.  This will be a dual benefit for WGOT and Studio Percussion on Sunday February 21 at Boca Fiesta in the Sun Center (232 SE 1st St.).  Join us for the airing of the show followed by local bands Nook & Cranny and The Enablers. 

$5 donation at the door.  Under 18 accompanied by an adult.  Come celebrate Gainesville’s community.  See you there.

Saturday, January 23, WGOT will be happily holding our 2nd Anniversary Benefit show.  We are extremely excited to announce this years bands.

Averkiou, Ars Phoenix, Childrens Children, The Ones To Blame, and Scum of The Earth.

All that for a $6 donation.  Come support local community radio. Help us stay on the air another year and finally get ourselves streaming on the internet.

The benefit will also include a raffle.  We are very excited to announce some of the various items being given away:  The Atlantic- $25 bar tab, Boca Fiesta- $20 gift certificate, Harvest Of Hope Fest – 2 passes, No Idea Records- $50 gift certificate, Satchel’s 2x $25 gift certificates.
