In Your Ear is centered around variety: Jazz, Funk, Soul, Rock, Blues, Americana, Pop… Really anything goes. Since Gainesville has lost its main source of quality jazz, In Your Ear will attempt to help pick up the slack by playing jazz a majority of the time with Donald Byrd, Steely Dan, Miles Davis, Pat Metheny, Bela Fleck, Tortoise, John Scofiled, Madeski Martin and Wood, and Chick Corea as frequent visitors. However, do not be supprised to hear classic rockers like Led Zeppelin and Jimmi Hendrix or psychedelic innovators like The Grateful Dead; Soul and Funk like Earth Wind and Fire, Marvin Gaye and other classic 70′s artists are always popping up as well.
